What is a Carport?

Either an open or closed sided shelter usually for a vehicle or equivalent. It is projects from a building or is free standing.

It is more economic to build a carport than to build an additional full structure garage.

Our carports are manufactured from high quality materials and thus will offer the adequate shading or protection, be able to handle the harsh elements, are rust proof and have very limited maintenance.

Our Flat roof Carports are manufactured as follows:

• The frame is constructed using 150 x 150 x 20 x 2mm Lipped Channel
• The inserts are 75 x 50 x 20 x 2mm Lipped Channel
• The posts are 76 x 76 Tubing
• We use 0.4mm F/H Wide Span Roofing
• The posts are secured with a concrete mix in a 350mm x 350mm x 600mm hole

Our Dome Carports are manufactured in the same same way, except for:

• The frame is constructed using 76 x 76 tubing on the sides
• The inserts are 50 x 50 x 2mm Rolled Square Tubing
  

Our A-Frame carports are manufactured as follows:

• It is more attractive but more expensive
• The frame is constructed in an "A"
• The inserts are known as perlins, these are 75 or 100 x 50 x 20 x 2mm Lipped channels
• The posts are 76 x 76 Tubing
• We use 0.4mm IBR Wide-span roofing with a STD or Rolled Top Ridging

All our carports are painted with a High Quality Industrial QD Red Oxide and a QD Top Coat in a colour of your choice.

All carports manufactured and erected by Lavoro Steel carry a 5 year workmanship warranty.

A cheap carport can be manufactured making use of less inserts, thinner roofing material and without a gutter.
